Victoria Highlanders FC is the newest franchise to join the United Soccer League (USL) family. The Highlanders will begin play in April 2009 as part of the Northwest Division of the 67 team Premier Development League (PDL). The PDL is a training ground for the best up and comers in the sport and a stepping stone to the major leagues. Highlanders FC players will be a consortium of NCAA Division I players, Canadian Under 20 National Team Players and local Vancouver Island players.

Castaways have entered a team in the 10K run under the sports team challenge category. This team is open to all Castaways. Register under our club name and you will receive a coveted 10K tshirt with our team's name and logo on the back. Crazy costumes are welcome if we are competing for the team spirit award. Early registration closes Feb. 14th. Registration before then is $30, then it jumps to $35 and eventually $40.
