PUMPKIN CARVING & CHILI NIGHT @ THE CLUBHOUSE

WHEN: Wednesday October 28th from 6:30pm-9:30pm

WHAT: Pumpkin carving to decorate the clubhouse for Halloween
(prizes for Best Original Carving and Best Castaways Themed Carving)
Chili/Corn Bread Dinner (minimum $2.00 donation)
Of course the bar will be open!

WHAT TO BRING: A knife for carving, a spoon for scooping pumpkin guts, a toonie (or more)
and a bowl for your chili! (the DSC is supplying the pumpkins)

Executive Meeting – September 14, 2009

Welcome Back Weekend (October 2nd-4th).

First event of the season is our annual Rookie Night.  We’re keeping in line with tradition and hosting a fun games night at the clubhouse on FRIDAY OCTOBER 2nd.  Events will be starting at 8:30pm.  Ensure you and your rookies have made your way safely to the clubhouse by then.
We would like to encourage all teams to dress their rookies up in a fun manner.  Managers/team reps please email me the names of your rookies attending the clubhouse games that night.
Please remember that rookies coming down to the club that Friday must have 2 pieces of ID to prove that they are of legal drinking age.
Also note that anyone too drunk to stand or function will not be allowed into the clubhouse.  The intent of rookie night is not to get your rookies trashed before they can even make it to the club it’s for them to come down to the club and meet all the other rookies and have some fun. 

Saturday October 3rd.  This year we also wanted to extend the festivities to the Saturday and have a bit of a meet and greet PANCAKE BREAKFAST at the clubhouse the following morning from 10-12noon.  Your very own Social committee and a few other helpers will be flipping pancakes for you.  The breakfast will be by donation.   $2 minimum.  Any and all ages are welcome including kids. 

Sunday October 4th is Castaways Day.  We are encouraging all members to attend one other Castaways game that day (besides their own) and then make their way down to the clubhouse after for a pint.  Game schedules will be available on the castaways website so you can see when and where everyone plays.  Let’s get some fans out and get to know people on the other teams!
